Melissa & Daniel made all of our wedding dreams come true with this unbelievable Red Rock Canyon Overlook Elopement.
The Proposal:
Daniel proposed to me on the island of Cayo Costa, just off the coast of southwest Florida! We took an evening boat ride with my parents and sister. He proposed during sunset on the beach.
The Vision:
We had no vision! All we knew is that we wanted the ceremony to be about us, and our closest friends and family to share in the experience.
The Planning Process:
Planning was easy once we found Elopement Las Vegas! The “extras” like a reception space and transportation were on us to plan and decide on, but Emily gave some great suggestions and we easily made the arrangements. Truly, I was so amazed with how little planning I had to do, and what we actually got out of the experience!! It was the most beauti
ful day of my life, yet so effortlessly put together (at least for the bride lol).
Your Outfits and Accessories:
I chose a Maggie Sorrento gown from a bridal boutique in Sarasota, Florida called The Perfect Dress. It was simple, with enough sparkle and lace to add a touch of romance. The train was long but I was able to bustle it as well. Surprisingly, the dirt and natural space of the canyon didn’t cause the dress too much harm at all! I paired my gown with drop earrings from Kendra Scott. Daniel wore a navy suit from Men’s Warehouse, paired with brown shoes and belt, and red and purple paisley tie. Each of our outfits were picked on our own, and we didn’t know what the other person was wearing until the first look!
Memorable Moments:
My first most memorable moment is simply the drive out to Red Rock Canyon. It was surreal, and even more so in a wedding dress. But how can I pick out just a few memorable moments when the entire event was so incredible!!! I can replay the entire day, from first look pictures, to walking down the flower petal aisle, to cutting our cake and popping champagne! Every moment was truly a memorable one.
Advice for Other Couples:
Don’t make your wedding about anyone else other than yourself and your partner. Do what truly makes you happy, and invite the friends and family that can share in the happiness you and your partner will get to have! Your wedding day will go by in the blink of an eye if you focus on entertaining everyone else. But if you can stay in the moment with your partner, and enjoy everything that you have planned for yourselves, then you will have the most memorable day of your life. It will feel like eternity is just beginning.
