What’s better than being surrounded by all the people you love most and exploring new places? NOTHING! Our couple originally was planning a bigger 2020 wedding, then one day decided they didn’t want to wait any longer. This was the perfect place for a Vegas, sequins, and boho wedding theme for our couple.

THE PROPOSAL

Wade and I had been dating almost 6 years. We had it in our minds we would get engaged and married by the end of 2020. But then one day we just decided together that we didn’t want to wait any longer. I came across Elopements Las Vegas’ Instagram page while browsing elopement inspo on Pinterest randomly (more like fate) and we were sold. We watched the promo video together and were just in awe by the idea of an intimate desert wedding. We told our families our decision and then got to planning! 

THE VISION

I envisioned elements of Vegas, sequins, boho, and little bit of edge. This look was completely brought to life in the Vegas desert and it was really on brand with our personalities. We love hiking and the outdoors but we also love a good time in the city. We wanted something non traditional and non conforming. Something adventures and all around fun.  We are at a stage in our lives where we attend anywhere from 5-10 weddings a year. The thought of a full scale wedding and all the fuss just sounded completely unappealing and exhausting. Most weddings also all look the same. Keeping it small and doing it our way is something we will never regret. 

THE PLANNING PROCESS

Emily and her team really know what they are doing and made it so easy. They quickly eased any concern I had and were able to bring my vision to life. It doesn’t get simpler than “what cake flavor, send us a few songs and send an inspirational photo for flowers”. They really take care of each little detail and execute beyond what I ever imagined. It made it so much easier to focus on other things knowing they had the ceremony elements taken care of. Also, the vender referrals for things outside the ceremony such as transportation, glam team, and dinner were top notch. Even though my wedding was small scale, not a single element was compromised. It felt like a luxury experience. We planned everything over the span of two months and the result was absolutely perfect. 

YOUR OUTFITS AND ACCESSORIES

Dress – Etsy (Something New) I wanted an all sequin dress to incorporate Vegas. My vision was desert glam which sort of brought in the best of both worlds. 
Opal ring on right hand – My family is Czech. I was lucky enough to go to Prague in 2016 and I bought this ring from a small jeweler. It’s special to me to have something from the “homeland”.
Bracelet with aquamarine stones – My birthstone is aquamarine. My Dad gave this to my Mom when I was born almost 27 years ago. (Something old, borrowed & blue) 

MEMORABLE MOMENTS

This was our first visit to the Valley of Fire and we were floored upon arrival by the beauty of the park. It had rained earlier that day so there was low hanging fog and it was just magical. We both felt totally at ease out there and loved taking it all in while we were getting our photos alone together. We love hiking and we kept saying how we couldn’t wait to come back to explore and spend more time at the park. When the ceremony started the sun came out and shined down on us and there was even a double rainbow when we left the park. Can’t make this up. It was unbelievably perfect and felt like God’s presence. Also, on a funnier moment… during the exchanging of the rings, Wade gave me his right hand. It was so funny because he also did that when we tried on rings. He’s left handed so he’s used to wear watches etc on his right. 

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES 

Stay true to your vision and what you and your partner want. You get one day so make it epic and have fun.
