WHAT WORDS WOULD YOU USE TO DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING?
Simple, Elegant, Perfect.
THE PROPOSAL
Eric and my story was a little unique, there was no proposal. We had been discussing marriage and when would be an ideal time and budget. All of that became overwhelming. We knew we loved each other and wanted to take our relationship to the next step and get married. The most important thing to us was showing each other our commitment of our love and having the most important people by our side. With that in mind, we decided to reach out to Emily and use her elopement services to help us fulfill our vision.
THE VISION
Eric and I envisioned our ceremony outdoors with a beautiful landscaping backdrop. We wanted a simple and timeless ceremony. Emily and her team delivered exactly that. We are so blessed to have had Emily. Her and her team made our vision come to life!
THE PLANNING PROCESS
The planning process was so simple and no stress. Emily asked me a couple of questions about my style and what I preferred, and it was as simple as that. We had decided that we wanted to get married at Red Rock and Emily took care of it. The bouquet and photography were exactly what I asked for. The bouquet has soft color that went perfect with the Red Rock mountains. The photography was light and airy and just what we had envisioned.
YOUR OUTFITS AND ACCESSORIES
My vision for our outfits was again timeless and elegant. I had purchased a beautiful white simple wedding dress and had planned to wear that for our ceremony. During our planning process Covid-19 pandemic forced local businesses to close. I was unable to find anyone to alter my dress.
I was not only able to find anyone to alter my dress but all the stores were closed. I was forced to look online. This sent me into a tailspin. Eric was so sweet and saw my panic and reminded me this was about him and I. He reassured me that it didn’t matter what I was wearing, the most important thing was being able to commit to each other for the rest of our lives.
I ordered several dresses online and returned all of them. I was becoming discourage and thought I was going to get married in sweats!
My second round of ordering came a cloud colored Shona Joy tulip hem dress. IT WAS PERFECT! I loved the soft blue color and no alterations were needed. I had ordered a pie of drop earrings from olive and piper. It completed the look I was going for. Simple, elegant, and timeless.
Eric’s outfit choice was much more simple and less stressful. He had a black suit and a gray shirt. It was perfect and our outfits came together very well.
MEMORABLE MOMENTS
One of my favorite and most memorable moments was our first look. Initially I had decided not to do one. Last minute I changed my mind. It was such a sweet moment and full of love and emotion.
ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES
No matter what is going on around you, remember it is about you and your partner and the love you share. Do a first look, you won’t regret it!
