Angela and James wanted nothing more than their elopement to represent them as a couple, but also as individuals. The two included unique was of personalizing their wedding day and we love how much it truly represented their love. Take a peek at their wedding day below!
Breathtaking and beautiful. The view where we had our wedding was so beautiful. It was everything.
Meaningful. He proposed at a dam/ river behind his moms house and It’s one of the places that made me love Pennsylvania. I’ve always talked about how I love his moms backyard and that’s where he proposed and a crane appeared after he proposed. Thought it was good luck.
Romantic and whimsical. I love plants so I wanted to be surrounded by my favorite flower and many beautiful plants. I am a farmers granddaughter and he definitely passed down the green thumb to me so the flowers were very important to me and I was so happy the florist incorporated lots of peonies. And made everything look romantic and whimsical and the vivid colors I wanted was executed with perfection.. Going with the semi circle florals was definitely worth every penny. She also added thistles which is on James family crest. His crest his a bee and a thistle. So there was part of me and James in the floral arrangements.
A breeze. Everything wedding related is stressful no doubt about it but hiring epic elopements was the best thing ever! They take the stress away from you and made everything a step by step breeze on wedding planning.
Groom: James kilt is from: https://sportkilt.com
James has deep Scottish roots and his grandfather (mothers dad) purchased his kilt for him on the east coast. They are the Ferguson clan and their family operates the West Virginia Wild and Wonderful Celtic Festival and Highland Games: https://www.wvcelticfestandgames.com
his grandfather is always wearing a kilt to special events and it was such a meaningful gift that james grandfather bought him his first kilt.
James got his kilt shoes sash all from the same place.
He wore a matching crystal bead bracelet from (@magicallyetched) on Instagram. It had shungite and samadhi beads.
Bride:
Dress: David’s bridal. it was the 10th dress I tried on. I had tried on 9 other dresses from other stores before I found the one. It was perfect and simple and romantic feeling with the off the shoulder style. I fell in love with it because I felt like a princess In it and I think it complimented James kilt very well. I also wanted something long sleeve. James mother and my mom both had wedding dresses with long sleeves so I wanted to make sure mine did too.
Floral earrings: from my mother (something borrowed)
Shoes: badgley mischka (something new)
Crystal Bracelets:
My friend Erika who sells crystals on Instagram (@thecrystalmadre / @crystalmadre_gems)
I purchased 3 bracelets from her. A Peach moonstone and two morganite crystal bead bracelets. The morganite bracelet was my (Something blue) I adore my friends shop and she always has good high quality crystals.
I also wanted to support another small business and one that is Filipino owned so I got crystal bracelets from (@magicallyetched) on Instagram.
I purchased 3 bracelets from her for me and two matching ones for me and James. The one for me was Lavender rose quartz, Kunzite and selenite. And had her put 3 charms on each of the bracelets. 2 butterflies and a rainbow charm. The two butterflies represented our two dogs Vato and Cody who passed away and crossed the rainbow bridge to heaven (hence the rainbow charm) we wanted to make sure they were there with us. The last one is the matching bracelets for James and I. The matching bracelet had shungite and samadhi beads that we both wore on our right hands.
A bee landed on my bouquet as the wedding started which is so symbolic because I was becoming a “Hummel” which means bumble bee in German. James dad is Scottish, German and Irish.
James enjoyed the mother and son dance. He adores and loves his mother unconditionally and I am so blessed and grateful to have a mother in law that raise such a good son.
